Quetzalcoatl, Aztec Iguana Warrior

This was a project for my friend Manny and his card game "Wild Force" on Kickstarter. I lit the character twice, leaving one with the line art to stay close to my friend's style, and then explored using a few MTG card arts as lighting reference. I had a great time learning about the Aztec culture for this piece, they had some interesting roles in their society. One role was to raise birds with beautiful feathers that would be used in clothing! Designing the Quetzalcoatl was definitely the coolest part, I just hope that I did it justice.
